Waterloo, ON – The Waterloo Siskins are pleased to announce that Brian Huddle has been named Director of Hockey Operations & General Manager. Brian will continue to serve as General Manager while also overseeing all aspects of hockey operations. “I’m excited to have a more direct connection to the team in this combined role given the special significance of our recent brand change and leading the hockey operations of the first team back under the Waterloo Siskins.” said Huddle.
Joseph Highgate has been named Director of Player Advancement. Joe brings a wealth of connections within the hockey circles to further support our players as they aspire to their hockey career goals.
Matt Doyle returns as Head Coach along with Jake DaSilva – Assistant Coach and Anthony Marshall – Goalie Coach. New to the bench this season is Jordan Hatzinger – Assistant Coach. Jordan brings league experience and a strong hockey skillset to further support the team.
We’re excited to share that Laurie Wittie has joined the Waterloo Siskins as Director of Business Operations. Laurie brings eight years of league experience, and she has built a career in design, marketing, and brand. Along with her leadership skills, she will be a tremendous asset to our organization and supporters. “I’m honoured to join the Waterloo Siskins, a hockey club with a rich history and proud winning tradition. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Siskins Hockey and making a positive impact both on the business side and within the community.” said Wittie.
Kendra Loughran has joined the organization as Graphic Design & Digital Media Coordinator. Kendra brings three years of experience in the league and with her creative talent and keen eye for hockey-specific detail. She will play a key role in shaping the hockey club’s visual identity and digital presence on social media channels and website.
The Waterloo Siskins will kick-off the 2025-26 season in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) at their Home Opener Sunday September 14. Join us at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Puck drop is 1:30 pm.
