The Waterloo Siskins are seeking caring and supportive families to open their hearts and homes for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Our players come to Waterloo from across the province with one goal in mind: to develop both on and off the ice. As they chase their hockey dreams, they need more than a place to stay — they need a home away from home.
Becoming a billet family is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a young athlete’s life. You’ll provide the stability, routine, and support that these dedicated young men need while building lasting bonds and memories. Many billet families describe the experience as life-changing — gaining not just a guest, but a lifelong connection.
Whether you’re a long-time hockey family or new to the game, what matters most is your willingness to offer a safe, welcoming, and positive living environment. Players typically range in age from 16 to 20 and are committed to both their sport and their academics or work responsibilities.
If you’ve ever considered becoming a billet family, now is the time. Help shape the future of a young hockey player while enriching your own family’s life in ways you might not expect.
